You gotta love Waterfront Home's "Take a Chance (On Me)." Alphaville's "Forever Young" is considered a classic by many. And hey, who couldn't love "Tarzan Boy" by Baltimora.

That's all for now, but if I think of more later I'll post.

"Der Kommissar" by After the Fire

Can Corey actually be considered a one hit wonder though?

Honestly, there are very few TRUE one-hit wonders... most of 'em had at least ONE other release (which didn't go anywhere on the charts) ...but there ARE exceptions.

Anyone remember "Voice of the Beehive" or "T'pau" ?

I can't remember her full name, but the singer's first name is Carol (I think). She is still touring and recording. I think she realeased a new CD not too long ago. She's re-recorded those two hits (China In My Hand and Heart & Soul) also.

But a release is not a HIT

One HIT wonders might have had a dozen releases, but they didnt chart significantly.

                Come on Eileen
                My Sharona
                Ca Plane Pour Ma
                Pop Music
                Rock Me Amadues

                etc

My God, I love her. I have her album Curiosity.

Yes, "Baby Love" was her big hit, but she also had a minor hit with "Beat of Love," which is just as snappy.

Okay, so Jane Child was technically 1990 - but for some reason it popped into my mind and wouldn't leave until I put it down here.

Neither one of those are one-hit wonders! (But they are great songs.)

            Here's another AWESOME one-hit wonder:

            "Run Runaway" by Slade

Here are a few of my all time faves...and though phenoms in other countries..in the US I think they were one hit wonders:

              Cars by Gary Numan
Lips Like Sugar by Echo and the Bunnymen
              Electric Blue by Icehouse

Were Echo And The Bunnymen one hit wonders? I pretty much like ALL thier albums. "Under the Milkyway" and "The Killing Moon" were hits as well, or at least they shuold have been.

WHOOOHOOOOO Nobody said Spandau Ballet! They had soooooo many hit singles! Of course they were mostly in Europe but when did we discount that right? Phew....I'm sick of hearing them being said to be one hit wonders.....bad MTV for saying that..or VH1..whichever..

I LOVE Doot Doot! Such a catchy little song!

No one's mentioned Stacey Q yet, and even though she's not technically a one-hit wonder (because of "We Connect"), most people think she is. I love everything she's ever done, though; I have all her albums. She's amazing!
